In August, MoDOT, via its contractor, Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc. will begin the last of three phases of rebuilding the original concrete pavement on US65 through Springfield. This phase will involve staged, segmental closures of US65 from Sunshine to James River Freeway, and, of course, will cause considerable inconvenience. We encourage you to visit our US65 project page, where you can sign up for updates and traffic alerts, review the project fact sheet, see the project stage closure maps, and view the detour map.
While the work is scheduled during the late summer in an effort to reduce the chances of weather-related delays (rain, etc.), weather can always be a factor and cause delays. So, we highly encourage you to sign up for updates and traffic alerts and/or check the project page frequently for updates. Of course, we also encourage you to plan ahead to find alternate routes, as well as allow additional travel time during this work.
