Nine Associates Lead the Way as Advocacy Partners

Nine leading associate members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield have made substantial commitments of support for the HBA of Greater Springfield’s advocacy efforts on behalf of builders in 2012. These companies stepped forward in year one of the HBA’s newly-launched advocacy support program: the Advocacy Leadership Team.

Their commitment underwrites a significant portion of the overall advocacy efforts of the HBA of Greater Springfield. In exchange for their generous support of advocacy on behalf of builders, these associate leaders receive exclusive direct marketing and networking opportunities with leading builder members of the HBA of Greater Springfield. Their first exclusive engagement of the program will be this week, when these associates will spend all day with more than 20 leading builder members of the HBA at Tuesday’s HBA of Missouri Legislative Day.

The HBA Advocacy Leadership Team program hatched from member feedback throughout 2011. Based on member input, HBA leadership came to understand that – while every HBA member wants / needs something different from their HBA membership – for most, the membership value proposition is quite simple. At the most basic level, builder members and associate members have different, but related primary needs from their membership:  Builders need advocacyAssociates need builders. The 2012 HBA/CBBT Advocacy Leadership Team represents an attempt to meet both those needs in an unprecedented way: The program funds the advocacy that builders need, by providing the access that associates need (to download a flier summarizing the program, including the names of the twenty “Builder Advocacy Partners” for 2012, click here).
