Mortgage Interest Deduction Under Attack

The National Association of Home Builders is mobilizing to help industry members stay informed and speak up regarding a potential recommendation to limit the mortgage interest deduction by a President Obama appointed bi-partisan panel in Washington looking at ways to cut the national debt.

According to the NAHB, Americans overwhelmingly oppose any action by Congress to tamper with the mortgage interest deduction, but it is likely to come under fire as Congress and the Administration move forward with the important task of deficit reduction.

Already, voices ranging from politicians to pundits, the media, think tanks and special interest groups are calling for eliminating or limiting the mortgage interest deduction.

Please join the National Association of Home Builders in the important effort to preserve the mortgage interest deduction.
