‘Hot Night, Cool Music’ with Springfield Mayor Bob Stephens

Springfield Mayor Bob Stephens will host an evening of “Hot Night, Cool Music” on August 3 for friends and supporters as he gears up for his re-election effort. Springfield city council seats, including the mayor, will be on the ballot in April 2013. The evening will be a fundraiser for the Mayor’s campaign, but is affordably-priced at just $25 per person.

The HBA of Greater Springfield has supported Stephens in his elections in the past and in his current campaign, via the HBA’s political action committee, the Coalition for Building a Better Tomorrow.

The Candidate:

Bob Stephens was elected to Springfield City Council in April, 2009, and filled General Seat A. In April, 2011, he was honored by his colleagues on Council who elected him Mayor Pro Tem and, two months ago, he moved into his new position of Mayor upon the resignation of Jim O’Neal.

Bob’s moderate and reasoned approach to dealing with City problems has gained both attention and praise from folks from all points on the political spectrum.

On the day Bob announced he would run for the Mayor’s position, he was endorsed by then-Mayor Jim O’Neal, the Fire Fighters association, the Springfield Police Officers Association, and the Coalition for Building a Better Tomorrow. And the support keeps building. A big Thank You to everyone!!
