HBA Members Invited to Habitat ‘Builders Circle’ Groundbreaking

Members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield are invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for Saturday, March 26 at 9:00am. This groundbreaking ceremony will officially launch the “Builders’ Circle” program, a partnership with the local construction industry, area businesses, and various financial supporters and volunteers. In fact, the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield (HBA) has committed to a partnership with Habitat Springfield, and will sponsor the first two “green” certified homes to be built in the cul-de-sac donated by Metropolitan National Bank, aptly named “Builders’ Circle.” Anyone who would like to follow the progress of the HBA’s green building demonstration projects on Builders’ Circle can do so at the HBA’s Builders’ Circle Project Blog.

Those planning to attend the groundbreaking should plan on arriving between 8:30-8:45. Continental breakfast will be served before and after the official ceremony. Due to limited street space, a secondary parking site is being arranged, and a shuttle bus will be available from 8:30-9:15. Signs will be posted.
