Coalition Debuts New Indoor Shooting Tournament October 31 – Are you IN?

The Coalition for Building a Better Tomorrow, the HBA’s political action committee, will debut a new fund raising event this fall – an indoor shooting tournament at Sound of Freedom-USA’s indoor gun range in Ozark, MO, on Monday, October 31.

This is a fun, fast-paced competitive event designed to accommodate any level of ability, including first-time shooters (download registration form here). The $75 individual registration fee includes lunch, use of the SOF-provided weapon (Ruger Mark III 22/45), ammunition for 3 targets plus a poker target. There are four one-hour flights scheduled throughout the day – from 10 am to 2 pm – download the registration form for details. (This event will replace the Sporting Clay Shoot that the CBBT has offered in previous years.)

Individual awards will be given based on results of all shooters participating in tournament that day. Tournament scoring: best of 30 shots – 10 shots per each of 3 targets placed at different distances. Prize will be given for best poker hand in each flight. Not an experienced shooter? No problem – contact A.G. Paul at SOF-USA Indoor Gun Range and learn more before tournament day! Shooters are also welcome to bring their own weapon, ammunition and targets to shoot in a lane free-of-charge following or in advance of your tournament play. (Targets and ammunition can also be purchased and guns rented from SOF for additional shooting in open lanes as available.)

Contact SOF at 417.485.4867 or visit their website at www.sof-usa.com for more information.

There are also several opportunities to sponsor the tournament – those options are listed on the registration form as well. Participating in and sponsoring the tournament not only helps support the HBA’s advocacy goals, it can earn your HBA member company up to three additional home show points!
