Birdhouse Auction to Benefit Habitat for Humanity

9th Annual Birdhouse auction to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO

BirdhouseAuctionLocal Springfield artists have put their own unique spin on how a bird should live by designing, painting, and adorning birdhouses for twenty lucky birds.

The annual birdhouse auction will begin on May 1, 2015 in conjunction with Obelisk Home’s First Friday Art Walk and continue through May 31. The twenty birdhouses will be on display at Obelisk Home for the month.

“The birdhouse auction is a unique collaboration between organizations that believe in the same mission; providing safe, decent and affordable housing,” said Larry Peterson, executive director of HFHS. “We are blessed to work with two local organizations to both support our mission and highlight local artists in our community.”

100% of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to benefit the important work that Habitat for Humanity does to provide safe and comfortable homes for families in need throughout the Springfield area.
