Scott Bracy was officially diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease), a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. ALS can strike anyone and presently there is no known cause or cure.

On Saturday, September 28th, 2019 – the ALS Association Mid-America Chapter held a walk in Chesterfield Village and Team Bracy raise the most funds for The ALS Association’s to find a cure for ALS. The goal for Team Bracy was $2,000 and they shattered that goal by raising more than $14,000!

• Scott Needs Your Help •

It is great that Team Bracy was able to raise funds for the ALS Association, but Scott himself is in need of assistance. Because of his rapidly deteriorating condition, he needs modifications to his home. If you would like to make a donation to help pay for these modifications, please make your check out to the HBA Charitable Foundation and indicate the funds are for Scott Bracy. If you would be interested in joining the HBA Team to make repairs to Scott’s home to make it more easily accessible, please contact Charlyce at the HBA office (417.881.3711). Thank you!
