Charlyce Ruth serves as the CEO of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield. Charlyce holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a minor in economics from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.
Charlyce’s professional background includes more than 20 years in the construction industry. While living in Seattle, Washington, she worked for a commercial construction company. She then moved to Springfield and worked for a residential construction company. At both companies, she was responsible for job costing and working with scheduling.
Since coming to work for the HBA in the fall of 1999, Charlyce has been instrumental in the planning of all of the HBA annual events, maintaining the financial records for the HBA, the HBA Charitable Foundation and the Coalition for Building a Better Tomorrow and serving as the staff liaison to the HBA Charitable Foundation. Now as the CEO, Charlyce is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HBA.
Charlyce’s husband, Jeff, is employed with the City of Springfield at the Springfield-Branson Airport. Jeff collects and restores antique tractors and steam engines, and serves on the Early Days Gas Engine & Tractor Association board, The Steam Engine Association board and the Model T board.
Aaron Wahlquist serves as Communications Director of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Communications with emphasis in Advertising from the University of Tennessee.
Aaron has been connected to the HBA since 1994 where he was in charge of the HBA Magazine and website for sixteen years. In 2010 he became a full-time team member for the HBA.
As Communications Director he is responsible for the coordination of all publications, e-publications, social media, website, advertising and sponsorship sales as well in-house graphic design. Aaron also works closely with ADsmith Marketing & Advertising in the branding of the HBA of Greater Springfield.
Aaron and his wife Kim have three outstanding children Lacey, Hannah and Keaton. No longer on earth with them is their son Tanner who passed at age 12, but shall never be forgotten.
Hannah Tiffin serves as the Events Coordinator for the HBA of Greater Springfield. Hannah graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors of Arts in English. Hannah enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
Hannah and her husband, Wajer, moved to Springfield in January of 2019. Wajer is Marketing Analyst at Küat Innovations. They met during school at Oklahoma State University. They have a Siberian Husky named Lucy who loves to swim!
Jenn Meyer serves as the Administrative Assistant for the HBA of Greater Springfield.
Jenn joined the HBA staff in December 2019. She is returning to the workforce after taking a sabbatical to raise her 4 children. Jenn graduated from Evangel University with a marketing and management degree and brings over 15 years of experience to our team. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, being outdoors and living the sports mom life.
Miles Ross founded Veritas Public Relations in 2011 and began working with the HBA in the role of Government Affairs Specialist in 2013. Miles works closely with area municipalities and the state legislature monitoring building code changes and legislation that affects the building industry.
