21 Springfield Appetizers as good as the main course by Murney Associates Realtors

There are so many great restaurants in town that it can be a really difficult decision to pick a place. After you make the decision of where to go, it can be really tough to pick an entree too.  So many choices! Well, here’s another one: which appetizer do you order?  While we can’t pick the spot for you, we do have some suggestions for your first course.  Below are 3 of the 21 Springfield Appetizers that are just as good as the main course – according to Murney Associates, Realtors!

CRAB BEIGNET

CIVIL KITCHEN

107 Park Central Sq

Cost: $9

Springfield Appetizers

It’s hard to describe how good the crab beignet at Civil Kitchen is, so we’ll leave it to a pro.

“We prepare the dish with blue crab, cream cheese, red onions, & old bay seasoning, and finish it by making it with our hand made batter. It’s offered with a side of honey habanero syrup that brings out more sweet and savory notes on the beignets,” Manager A.J. Williams.

Well said Mr. Williams. Well said.

POUTINE

LINDBERG’S

318 W Commercial St

The official dish of Canada has found a home on historic Commercial Street.  It’s a bed of hand cut french fries, beef stock gravy and cheese curds.  Sometimes they even add corned beef to it! It’s not a light appetizer, but it’s one you definitely need to try.  While you’re there, you can almost always find a great local musician playing tunes or a touring act coming through town!

LE JARDIN

CHERRY PICKER PACKAGE + FARE

601 S Pickwick Ave
Cost: $7

Springfield Appetizers

The Cherry Picker is a favorite of the Rountree crowd and plenty of other folks in Springfield for creative, exquisite dishes like the Le Jardin. It’s an Aristan’s Oven baguette with house-roasted garlic aoili, tomatoes, thick cut havarti and oil tossed U.R. greens.
