Another Home Remodeling EXPO is in the books and based on vendor responses and increased attendance the event was once again a success.
“I feel like we had a surprising increase in attendance this year,” said Crystal Shotts with Southern Supply.
“I spoke to several people that attended the show looking ‘specifically’ for a product. That’s awesome! If they are out searching for specifics, it means they have already made up their mind to purchase.”
Although the number of vendors went down slightly from 2011 the quality of displays went up. Some new displays and creative uses of products and services made for a more interesting and appealing event. In addition, the new Live Presentations provided a nice open forum for attendees to participate and gather knowledge about Storm Shelter Safety, Energy Efficient Windows, Spray Foam Insulation, Energy Audits, Heating Options, Design Trends and more. The most popular presentation was Kitchen Transformations which gathered the largest crowd of any seminar or presentations in previous shows.
“I felt the 2012 show was exceptional and much improved over previous year’s in quantity and quality of attendees,” said ACME Brick Regional Sales Manager John Harp. “Traffic into the EXPO was steady and consistent over all three days. People seemed positive and upbeat about building or remodeling and they were at the show to get new ideas to incorporate into their projects. Rearranging the center isle gave the show a more ‘open’ look and helped traffic flow effectively. John goes on to say, “Even if we get as little as 10% of the prospective business on items discussed with attendees, we will have multiplied our payback on the cost of booth rental. Great show and a big ‘thanks’ to the Remodeling Show committee.”
The HBA Home Remodeling EXPO committee is working on future enhancements to this event which might require members to secure booth space earlier.
